The community newspapers published by Ossekeag provide an affordable medium for local businesses to advertise in on a regular basis. We have a ten-week busy season every spring, hi-lited by a series of lectures and special events that must be brought to the attention of area residents on a regular basis to ensure adequate attendance, and a good traffic level at our garden centre. I have relied on the Ossekeag papers for over two decades to regularly publicize these events, on what has always felt like a tight budget. In contrast, my advertising in the other regional papers and media has been much less extensive, due to much higher costs. And cost is not the only advantage. The entire Ossekeag circulation base is within my market range, whereas much of the alternative advertising providers send my message to people well beyond my market, which is a waste of advertising dollars.

I find the service provided my Mark and the Ossekeag staff is second to none, and like the market base, perfectly suited to my very localized business. They know my operation personally, and tailor their efforts to meet my needs. I certainly rely on them for a large portion of my media advertising.

Congratulations on 25 years of success! Your work with Ossekeag Publishing has contributed greatly to the continued success of four wonderful community magazines. Helen and Bert Boyd had a superb idea in creating the Hampton Herald in order to inform residents of community news, and keep them in touch with their neighbours. I am so glad that you decided to keep this goal in mind when you took over the business. I am especially pleased that you have expanded, and created the Valley Viewer, the Sussex Herald and WesTides, as well as continued to improve the original Hampton Herald. Your efforts have truly contributed to our community and to the spirit of New Brunswick.
