Editorial Policy
• Ossekeag Publishing will accept Editorial submissions on topics of general interest to the local communities within the following guidelines:
• Submission deadline is one week prior to publication date. • Editorial submissions are recommended to be a maximum of 300 words, and photos are welcome. Those who submit photos with an article and wish to have them returned must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Photos will also be kept for a short period of time if arrangements are made to pick them up. ( Digital photo(s) should be sent as a high-resolution jpg.) • All Editorial submitted by the deadline will be considered for publication in the next issue. In the event of limited space, time sensitive Editorial articles will receive preference by the date and location of the event. All submissions received after deadline will be published only as space allows. • Articles submitted as a "Letter to the Editor" must include contact information of the person submitting the article. The name will be included with the article unless otherwise stipulated. • Ossekeag Publishing does not guarantee that submitted information will run - or in the case of submissions that are not time sensitive - when it will run.
• Editorial includes articles involving community events hosted by non-profit organizations, charity groups, schools, churches, service clubs, or sports teams. Information involving church suppers, showers, school events, community group fundraisers, or results of events are also examples of Editorial content.
• Articles submitted by businesses are generally not considered as Editorial unless it involves fundraising with any monies generated going directly to a charity or similar community not-for-profit organization.
• Additionally, we publish non-political, secular, community magazines and therefore Editorial submissions on political or religious issues may not be considered for publication.
• Ossekeag Publishing reserves the right to refuse or edit any submission.
